Getting from Arlanda into Stockholm

Arlanda is a long way out. Forty kilometres is far enough that the difference between a good transfer and a bad one is measured in half-hours, not minutes, and far enough that the choice of transport actually matters rather than being a matter of taste.

The Arlanda Express train is the fastest route to Stockholm Central and is genuinely hard to beat if Central is where you are going and you are travelling light. A chauffeur transfer wins on the journeys the train does not serve: door-to-door to an address that is not Central Station, arriving with luggage or equipment, travelling as a group where per-head rail fares add up, arriving late at night, or arriving to a meeting where turning up composed matters more than saving twenty minutes.

Arrivals: how the pickup works

Give the flight number when you book. From that point the booking follows the aircraft — if the inbound is late, the pickup time moves with it, and you are not charged for the delay or dropped for missing a slot.

With Meet & Greet the chauffeur parks and waits inside the arrivals hall holding a name sign, then walks you to the car. Without it, you are pointed at the terminal's designated pickup area and the chauffeur meets you there. Either way you receive the chauffeur's name, phone number and vehicle details before you land.

Terminal 2, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 pickups

Arlanda has four passenger terminals, of which three are in regular use: Terminal 5 handles most international departures and arrivals, Terminal 4 is largely domestic and some European traffic, and Terminal 2 takes a smaller share of international flights. They are separate buildings with separate arrivals halls and separate pickup areas, so "meet me at Arlanda" is not an instruction a chauffeur can act on.

You do not need to work out which one you land at. The flight number identifies the terminal, which is the practical reason we ask for it beyond delay tracking — give it at booking and the chauffeur goes to the right building without you confirming anything after a long flight. If you are booking without a flight number, tell us the terminal instead.

One thing worth separating: this is about being collected at a terminal and driven somewhere. If you are connecting between Arlanda terminals on a single ticket, that is a walk or the free inter-terminal shuttle inside the airport, not a car booking — the terminals are close together and the transfer is handled airside.

Departures to Arlanda

For a departure, book the pickup from your address and give the flight you are catching. Work backwards from the airline's check-in and bag-drop deadlines rather than from the departure time itself, and add margin for the E4 into Arlanda, which carries commuter traffic in both directions during weekday peaks.

If your morning is uncertain — a meeting that may overrun, a checkout time that may slip — hourly hire is a better fit than a fixed departure transfer. The car waits with you and leaves when you do.

Business travel through Arlanda

Arlanda is Sweden's main international gateway, which makes it the arrival point for most inbound business travel to Stockholm: Kista and the tech corridor, the financial district, the Ostermalm hotels, and the conference venues in and around the city.

For repeat itineraries — an executive who flies the same route weekly, a visiting team on a multi-day programme, a roadshow with a fixed schedule — a corporate arrangement is usually cleaner than booking each leg separately.
